The Providence System is our own unique system.
It reflects the settings we are putting together and we we beleive that it is important for any RPG's system to reflect the setting.
We dont want the new system to be too complicated and though I beleive we have done a damn fine job with the Providence System, any system questions you might have can be posted here.
This way, we can help you clear up any questions you might have about the system and you can help us work out any bugs with the system.

I need an example of character creation. I love immersion, but I found your character generation examples a little opaque. Also, I'm a little bit confused on the core mechanic and...well, I'm going to activate my PDF and point out specific examples.
Anyway, I also have questions about creating your own Conduits. But I'll post that in the appropriate forum. |

Yello and welcome to the forums.
Sorry I didn't reply sooner, busy two weeks at work.
Character creation for Ngenesis?
The process is a little different than most other RPGs, it follows a series of steps and each step gives the character a basis for beginning abilities and skills. You don't build a character from scratch and then add in a template for them to be a Weirdayn, you start with a Weirdayn template, add the Ordos template to it, then customize a bit and your character is done.
Character creation starts on page 15 (or 19 depending on which version of the book you have).

Any specific questions, post em.
The system mechanics make a lot of sense, especially once you start to use them. And the great thing is that once you are used to them, they are the same for physical conflict, mental conflict and spiritual conflict.
Physical and Mental conflict is used a lot in Ngenesis, spiritual conflict not so much, but it will be key for our next game. |
